Journey  from Hyderabad to Vijayawada !!!!!

It was Magha Pournima (22^nd Feb 2016) & Monday ,My parents are very much enthusiastic in Siva linga Pratista.We started around 10:30 pm and reached around 2:40 am Jagannapeta.From here we hailed auto who charged 200/- worth enough,where he has taken us to Krishna river at Mukthyala village .We took bath and visited near by ancient chenakesava swamy temple at 4:30 am.

Kotilingala is a place at muthayala Jagayapeta Krishna district is very famously grownup its charm with installing siva linga by ownself at temple premises,under guidance & rituals of pandits for a nominal fee.

• There is a fountain & a big siva idol in front of temple  premises.

As a hindu we believe every sin can be relieved by installing siva Linga.But installing siva linga not  every common man can perform,because its very cost effective .As Puranas stated Lord sri rama to wash off his sin of killing Ravana (who is Brahmin ) to avoid brahma hatya dosham he installed siva linga at Rameshwaram.

We reached by 5am to kotilingala temple sri kotilingala Hari hara Mahakshetram in mukthyala village  in jagannapeta  Mandal which falls on the route Hyderabad to Vijayawada.

• Sages likes Bharadwaja performed severe penance sages like Bharadwaja  performed  severe penance  and got salvation (mukthi) here hence the place is known as Mukteswarapura & later Mukthyala.
• This temple in shortly known as kotilingala ksheram is recently developed and constructed with four entrances & Linga has five faces & five side nandis are installed.
• Inside temple other God s like Vijaya ganapathi & kamakshi devi are present.
• The temple is adorned with six Ganapathis and six subramanya temples.Other than main temple ,outer  prakara of temple there are108 god temples and one Kshetra palaka temple Lord Koneti rayadu with his conserts Sridevi   & bhudevi.And Dwadasa jyothirlingalu temples on eastern side.

Food !!!

I should not speak about this but  I don’t want to misguide  the people tooo, Food servicing in temple is not good ,all people will fight ,no queue line maintained.

Main Diety !!!!

• It is pancha Amrutha Lingeshwara swamy ,the lord has four faces on four sides and one face .The lord  has four faces on four sides & one face  urdhva ,there are 4 nandis facing 4 sides. There is a big nandi in temple which covers one facing of lord.
• As folklore –during tretayuga sage bhardwaja set a hemitage here & used to have  a holy dip in the Krishna waters . It is said that a couple of nandies were seen still the devotees believe that  one  golden siva temple is situated in the depths of river.
• Fours Dwajasthambas at four sides & on either sides of siva temple.
• The temple is under endowment department & the deparment is developing it.Anyone can perform linga pratista here.
• Main Agenda of temple to install 1 lac lingas.

Procedure of pratista!!!

First take ticket  1000/- at counter and sit at the mandapam opposite to counter where  Sankala  pooja & Narmada bana lingam is given to us  .No hurry here all will be done systematically, then they give all pooja items for lord Abhishekam items ,Amma pooja items & Pratista Pooja items.Then after sankalpa they divide us in batches for siva linga pratista. Temple surroundings all covered  with sivalinga mandapas,where siva linga pratista has to  be performed.It takes half an hour for pratista puja.They take us out where the prathista used to be done.

Later swami Abhishekam & amma puja will be performed,done siva linga pratista.

Quick Info!!!!

• For installation of siva linga with your hands under guidance of priests  costs 693/- and other pooja items all cover 1000/- ticket.
• This temple falls in the route Hyderabad -Vijayawada highway.
• Sivalinga Installation is done before 12:00 pm daily and all puja items are given by the temple.
