Journey on Necklace Road
!!!!
Hyderabad is awaiting for the most popular release of Indian super star Rajinikanth’s movie KABALI.Even we
have booked our ticket well in advance at prasad’s Imax. Our show time was 3:00
pm.we started at 12:00pm and reached necklace road by 1pm.we were having a slow
ride in our car to time pass till the show time because necklace road is the most popular hangout space for the
people in Hyderabad.
why named necklace road ???
when seen it aerially the stretch of road forms a shape
of necklace hence the name necklace road. It is famous for its bountiful
presence of greenery with parks and the most famous Hussain sagar lake.On our
ride we come across the P.V Ghat (P.V.Gyana bhoomi) of the former Indian Prime minister
Mr. P.V.Narasimha Rao my favourite
politician. The ghat was under tight security and is not open to public. But
fortunately we got an opportunity to take a stroll around the place.
P.V.Ghat or P.V.Gyana bhoomi !!!
Apart from Samadhi ( last rites place) and garden of late Mr.Pamulaparti
venkata Narasimha Rao the 9th Prime minister of India(1991-1996) ,
something else reflecting the personality of the late Prime Minister have been
highlighted i.e we can have a visit of six sculptures which describe the
characteristics of the as per the concept design given by the great artist by Devulapalli Hanumantha
Rao and sculpted by T. Venkateswara Rao,which were placed at the entrance of
the ghat were the highlights of the this ghat.
These incredible rock Sculptures capitivate the visitors:
1) MOUNA MUNI: Depicts the famous reticence of the late PM
as “Man of few words”
2) 13 PETALS : Depicts about his polyglot that PV Narasimha
Rao was (as he can speak 13 languages)
3) WINGS & GLOBE : Signifies father of Indian Economic
Reforms
4) DIPLOMAT PAR EXCELLENCE
5)CHISELLED PIECES : Depicts his intelligence &
grasping power & his strategic thinking.
All the yellow stone granite (commonly known as Kadapa stone)
sculptures erected here in memory of PV’s Characteristics have hand as a common
element.
Famously known
as PV, who headed the Congress government between 1991 and 1996, was disowned
by his party. After his death in 2004, the Congress-led UPA government had
denied any memorial to him in Delhi. Now the BJP government has paid its
respect, by building PV a memorial at “Rashtriya Smrithi” close to the
memorials of the former Presidents & Prime Ministers of India and named the
memorial as “Ekta Sthal”.
After visting P.V.Ghat we moved to Imax for our movie show.
